Background
Recently relocated family on the outskirts of London with 3 active young girls, with energy to burn.
Brief
With a wonderful Willow Tree in the garden, and three young girls. The owners wanted a Treehouse that was quirky, but able to blend into the Trees Canopy so not to be too conspicuous. Most importantly a zip wire launch from Treehouse platform so the girls could run back and forth expending energy.
Design & build
We created a treehouse that wrapped around the willow tree, with a branch through the roof and the main truck visible inside – the wonderful bark patterns creating a beautiful organic ornament for the interior. Leaning out walls created more space and room for a Mezzanine level to read books and sleep overs. Access by a more traditional ladder, which also acted as the launch site for the 30m Zip wire. As the build reached completion the girls increasing became more excited after school to climb, explore, and most definitely launching down the zip wire at the first opportunity
